Our Campus
The Village
This traditional style farm house was converted into a school in 1996 and is the original building on the property. Home of our full-day programs, the Village consists of infant, yearling, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classes.
The School House
Opened in 1998 this historical cottage, resembling a one-room school house, is home to our Nursery School Program. Our Nursery School Program is for children looking for a subtle taste of school and most of all, socialization. It is a three-and-a-half hour program running from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an option to extend the day until 2:00 p.m. The program is for children ages 3-5 years old.
The Annex
Developed from the ground up, this state-of-the-art building was established in 2001. The Annex offers multiple possibilities for classroom space for infant, yearling, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten students. The Annex also houses The Village Lower School full-day Kindergarten Program. The learning experience from our early childhood program continues into Kindergarten, where our project-based curriculum is aligned with Common Core Standards.
The Energy Center
The Energy Center was originally a barn that has been converted into a state-of-the-art gymnasium. This building is the perfect retreat for our students on a hot summer or cold winter day, and offers many different types of activities that range from performances to athletics.
The Art Studio
The Village & Annex have their own Art Studios, where children engage in weekly classes with our art teacher. In art class, children gain an appreciation for art, learn about artists & their work, and explore a vartiety of mediums & methods in their own artwork. An annual Art Show is held each spring, where children’s art work is professionally mounted and displayed for all to enjoy.
The Garden & Greenhouse
Garden classes for children offer a wide range of benefits that promote their physical & psychological development. Benefits of our garden program include physical health & activity, connection to nature, improved fine motor skills, nurturing resposibility, promoting social skills, building healthy eating habits, and growing their creativity & imagination. It’s so rewarding to watch the children grow their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers from tiny seeds, to something they can enjoy in their own classrooms!
Security
All four buildings on the property use a keypad system to allow entrance into the schools. To ensure that each child is safe & supervised at all times each parent/guardian must accompany their child into the classroom. If a different person from the usual is picking up your child, the school must be notified in writing with that person’s name. Anyone picking up your child for the first time must show proper identification. Exterior cameras around the property are also installed as an added security measure.
